This ssthouse.org website contains topic-specific information and advice about the residential block made up of Sinclair House, Sandwich House and Thanet House, all in the London WC1H postcode area, and is intended for SST flat owners (lease-holders) and other residents of SST.
'SST': this term is used throughout this site - it's just a convenient and quick shorthand way to refer collectively to Sinclair House, Sandwich House and Thanet House.
Short-term rentals:
Please note that the applicable lease Regulations prohibit the letting out of any of the residential flats at SST either (i) for short-term holiday purposes; or (ii) for any business purposes.
If you are contemplating renting any accommodation at SST through - for example - the "Airbnb" (or any similar) web service, you need to understand that any such rental will almost certainly be in breach of those lease Regulations and will be unauthorised.
If you wish to verify the position in advance for any specific flat, please use the "Contact Us" menu option on the left of this screen, and you will receive a response from the Managing Agent.
Access to this website:
On this website, basic information (including the website's Legal Policies and Terms of Use) is published without any access restrictions (but subject to those Legal Policies and Terms of Use).
Beyond that basic information access, different categories of user can be granted access to associated categories of additional restricted information.
- If you're a current resident at SST, upon application and subject to verification of your status, you can obtain access to a number of categories of information primarily aimed at SST's residents (including holders of leases to SST flats).
- And if you're a current SST leaseholder with a share in the SST freehold company, again upon application and subject to verification of your status, you can obtain access to a number of categories of information created for shareholders in the SST freehold company.
An online user access application procedure is now operational. In order to request access to a restricted portion of this website, you'll need to apply for a personal Username and password, and to accept the associated Terms of Use. You can apply simply by clicking on the "Create an Account" link displayed under the menu on the left side of this SST home page, and then carefully completing the "User Registration" form which should then be displayed to you.
Notes:
- All applications are subject to acceptance at the discretion of SST management.
- Access to restricted portions of the SST website will be withdrawn if you cease to remain eligible (i.e., if you cease to be a current resident, or if you cease to be one of the shareholders in SST freehold company, as applicable).
- This website is run on a volunteer basis, at virtually no cost to the SST companies; therefore it may take a little time for you to hear back with confirmation of your status after you have click to submit a "User Registration" form - please be patient! However, if you haven't heard anything back within two business days of applying for an Account, then please use the Contact Us / Website Support option in the menu on the left side of this SST home page.
Navigating this website:
You'll see a panel in the top left corner of each page of this website, displaying a menu showing the pages which are available for you to access, depending on the category of your user account.
If you're reading this on a mobile device, you may see this: at the top of the screen, instead of a directly legible menu; if so, you just need to click on the icon to open up the menu, and then select from the list of available options.
Constructive ideas, suggestions and comments:
If you'd like to suggest ways for improving or enhancing this website or how the SST block is managed, please send your proposals by using the "Contact Us" option in the menu on the left side of this SST home page, and they will be forwarded to the appropriate recipient(s) for consideration. Please note that all suggestions received are subject to the applicable disclaimers published in paragraph 16 (Suggestions) of the Terms of Use page on this website.
